First Blog Post Assignment

 My First Blog Post

Who am I?

Hello reader, this is my first blog and my introductory post. My name is William, and I am 16 years old. I was born in Miami and my family is from Myanmar. Some hobbies that I enjoy doing are cooking, lifting, drawing, playing video games, and reading. If I could pick a dessert that I could eat for the rest of my life, it would be tiramisu. One of my favorite novels that I've ever read is 'I have no mouth and I must scream.'  Some of my favorite video games are Undertale, Deltarune, Sonic Unleashed, FNAF, and Terraria. On top of that, even though I'm allergic to dogs and cats, I would love to own a chihuahua or a Maine coon cat! It's nice to meet you, I hope you'll enjoy the portfolio that I will build throughout the year!

My experience so far in AICE Media Studies

It has been fun so far, and I am expecting to start learning the fundamentals of media. Moreover, the class is engaging, forcing the students to actively take part in the learning process, which I thought was unique. Apparently the work will be rigorous, but I believe I can pull through with enough discipline! I'm hoping this will be a great year in media studies!

What I hope to gain from the portfolio process

I'm hoping to gain new skills on how to produce media, learn the fundamentals of media production, understand the impacts of media on communities, and a documentation of my journey through the course of Media Studies.

What product I am choosing

I am considering to choose the magazine as the part of my portfolio, because I feel as if magazines enable a wide array of media expression, digitally, spread onto a concise post. Although a short film seems engaging, I believe that a magazine is much more suitable for me, as I believe the skills that I have currently, will learn in this course, and will apply in this course, will be assets that I would prefer to demonstrate and would be able to express more effectively onto this product.
